The law tutors we employ are the best in the industry.

Our Law Tutors

The tutors we employ are the best in the industry and the best in the business. They might be university professors or university lecturers, other professionals with extensive expertise in their field, or researchers. Some have studied at the country's top universities, while others have spent their whole lives in the classroom. We have the right law tutor for your course.

Law Tutor Selection

We understand that we are only as excellent as the teachers we hire. As a result, we take great care in selecting tutors. We conduct in-depth interviews with all candidates and thoroughly review their qualifications. We exclusively hire people with exceptional academic credentials. We not only demand a First Class Honours Degree and/or a Masters Degree or equivalent postgraduate certificate, but we also require it from one of the country's top universities or institutes.

Quality of the Law Tutors

We also ensure that our tutors are great teachers who share our learning philosophy. They have excellent communication and listening skills; they can motivate pupils; and they can build a student’s confidence. They are aware of the pressures that come with preparing for SATs, high school, and university courses today. They are professionals with whom students may easily connect. They must be able to aid the student in learning and academic growth.

Our tutors can rapidly identify a student's weak point, whether it's grasping the material or analysing and constructing an essay or problem question. Because our teachers are specifically trained with this goal in mind, they are all exceptional at getting outcomes.

Our Three-Stage Recruitment Procedure

Our teaching and tuition are of the greatest calibre, and we take the selection of our teaching personnel extremely carefully. All teaching personnel at City Law Tutors must go through the following selection process:

The First Stage - Sift

Every month, we examine approximately 300 applications. We require proof of strong academic accomplishment and intellectual rigour. We typically demand a First Class Honours Degree, as well as relevant postgraduate and professional degrees.

  • We typically need candidates to have significant teaching experience as well as evidence of results gained in that capacity.

  • Fewer than one-third of those who apply fit our requirements, and only those who do are invited to the interview stage.

The Second Stage - The Interview

A panel of individuals with academic and professional degrees, as well as teaching experience at both the secondary and university levels, interviews all candidates. Our interviews are divided into three sections.

  • First, applicants must deliver a presentation to the panel based on a pre-determined question for which they will have received previous preparation. The goal is for the panel to examine how applicants convey difficult ideas and concepts, as well as to assess their capacity to teach successfully.

  • Second, candidates are evaluated based on the substance of their curriculum vitae. This will be analytical and thorough, including questions on previous teaching experience and consistency in academic or professional achievement.

  • Third, each applicant is posed a question that they have not had time to think about in preparation. This helps us to acquire a sense of how they conceptualise and assess an applicant's ability to "think on their feet."

Fewer than half of those interviewed get to the final round.

The Third Stage - Background Checks

If we are pleased with a candidate's performance in an interview, they must first supply the following information before they may begin working for us:

  • References (as to character, suitability and academic achievement)

  • Qualifications evidence (including degree certificates)

  • A copy of our Tutor Code of Conduct that has been signed

  • A legally binding contract

  • A criminal record check (for those working with children under the age of 18)

  • Identification using a photograph and a tax identification number

  • Proof of Address and right to work in the UK.
